    About Samyak

    Samyak 2012

"Without tradition, art is a flock of sheep without a shepherd. Without innovation, it is a corpse." With the world's Powerful Force being the youth. The ideology of the Nation's youth is getting incarcerated in a shell of Ignorant Dogma. So we, the student fraternity of K L University are organizing a National level Techno Management fest, SAMYAK on 5th and 6th of October SAMYAK 2012 the Edition as a ray of hope for the concealed modernism to rise into the light from the darkness of ignorance. We aspire to craft the festival facilitating the young minds to showcase their ability, skill, talent promising them the most intriguing and lively moment. SAMYAK 2012 is in the offing with Paper presentations, Poster presentations, Guest lectures, Workshops, Technical, Literary events and the Adrenaline rush Cultural night during the two days of the festival.

    Meet our event Algox.
    The desideratums for algox are

    1. Strategies on how to solve the puzzle which involves coming up with a plan of attack.
    2. The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity. So try to crack it, as simple as possible.
    3. And lastly, understand the puzzle and think twice.

    Round 1:
Written test will be conducted based on c and c++
    Round 2:
Small problems will be given to the participant and the problem is to be solved with an algorithm.
The reason we chose an algorithm is because
    a. You need not know the syntax
    b. You need not give the code
    c. Everyone (any branch) can participate
It is a susceptible abstruse candidacy that can be done only on the computer, and can be solved by anyone irrespective of their branch. Mitigate your brain cells as Algox goes easy on you in the primitive level with solvable puzzles.

As the samyak-11 made u satisfied a lot with its appealing events. This time also we are back with a spectacular events and one of the tempting event among here is hacking. This furtive event just requires a basic understanding of html, network security, open source and Unix. This event is finalized through by conducting three rounds. The participants may have to endure a preliminary test in the first round on the basics of the above stated topics, followed by next two rounds . This entire event will test your knowledge, analytical and logical skills.

Warning:- Participants are requested to come with a incisive and jagged mind.
    The first and foremost round:
This round will concentrate on theoretical level of the participants based on the above stated topics mainly on open source.
    Speaking about Hacking(Main) Round:
The paramount event gives participant a login form and logging in to the form takes you to the concerned levels provided with one vital question for each. For each question the contestant has to hack the password(answer). The number of levels will be finalized on the spot of the event. The form of the respective level allows you to enter the code word in a input textbox. If your throughput is précised then you will move to next level which is somewhat typical than the previous. This will test your security skills.

    The ultimate round:
Picking the best ones from the preceding round we will conduct a final round among them and we will decide the best hacker i.e., The Champion.

  • Apollo:
In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm /ˈælɡərɪðəm/ (originating from al-Khwārizmī, the famous Persian mathematician Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī) is a step-by-step procedure for calculations. Algorithms are used for calculation, data processing, and automated reasoning.

More precisely, an algorithm is an effective method expressed as a finite list of well-defined instructions for calculating a function. Starting from an initial state and initial input (perhaps empty), the instructions describe a computation that, when executed, will proceed through a finite number of well-defined successive states, eventually producing "output" and terminating at a final ending state. The transition from one state to the next is not necessarily deterministic; some algorithms, known as randomized algorithms, incorporate random input.

A game with algorithms including time complexities and code generation using algorithm
    It consists of two rounds
Round 1: Predicting the time complexities(best and worst cases) for the given algorithm with perfect explanation to the event organizers.
Round 2:Should generate a program for the given algorithm……..and also solving the problem related to the same algorithm.

  • Web-D
    Purely based only on html,css,jsp……………………
Web designing is a broad term covering many different skills and disciplines that are used in the production and maintenance of websites. The different areas of web design include; web graphic design, interface design, authoring; including standardised code and proprietary software, user experience design and search engine optimization. Often many individuals will work in teams covering different aspects of the design process, although some designers will cover them all. The term web design is normally used to describe the design process relating to the front-end (client side) design of a website including writing mark up, but this is a grey area as this is also covered by web development. Web designers are expected to have an awareness of usability and if their role involves creating mark up then they are also expected to be up to date with web accessibility guidelines.

    Round 1:
In this preliminary round written test will be conducted based on html , css , and java
    Round 2:

Designing a single web page using maximum number of tags and each tag should be counted and the one who use the tags most is considered as winner and continue so on….

Amount should be paid in the form of D.D (Demand Draft)

    Description:
Cloud Computing : In the past, computing tasks such as word processing were not possible without the installation of application software on a user's computer. A user bought a license for each application from a software vendor and obtained the right to install the application on single computer system. Cloud computing differs from the classic client-server model by providing applications from a server that are executed and managed by a client's web browser, with no installed client version of an application required. Centralization gives cloud service providers complete control over the versions of the browser-based applications provided to clients, which removes the need for version upgrades or license management on individual client computing devices.
