Event Description:

This event is completely based on digital electronics circuits and their various applications. Digital electronics circuits are circuits which operates on discrete digital values rather than continuous analogy signals. This event will judge the participant’s understanding of digital electronics and its various applications. As the event will progress the difficulty levels of the rounds will increase. Event will judge the participants technical skills as well as ability to complete a time bound task.

ROUND 1

The contestants will be given a certain number of resistors whose resistance values they have to obtain according to the convention within a specified time.

Time limit-5minutes

ROUND 2

This round will begin with showing of basic logic gates and gate circuits to participants. This circuits will be shown as a slides which will be continuously changing within time interval of 30 sec. This whole process will be repeated 3 times. The participants will have to identify the maximum number of logic gates and circuits and they have to make the truth table. The more number of circuits they identify, more priority will be given to them.

Time limit-08 minutes

ROUND 3

In this round the participants will be provided a bowl containing many slips. Each slip will contain a logic circuit. The participant will have to pick a slip from bowl and implement it using the software in provided systems. The event will be time bound and if a participant implements a circuit before time then he can pick up further slips from bowl. The more no of circuits he/she will implement the more marks will be awarded to the participants. High scoring participants will be the winners.

Time limit- 15 minutes

Event Description:

Code Connect is a fully packed with excitement with making simple interesting c programs. Each round is different from one another. It helps you in gaining knowledge in coding, decrypting the word, and googling.

ROUND 1

In this round the participants will be provided a bowl containing many tasks. Each slip will contain a simple c program. The participant will have to pick a slip from bowl and execute it using the systems. The participants should execute the code in a specified given time.

Time limit-10 minutes

ROUND 2

In this round the participants are paired up and they should combine and execute the two codes given to them in round 1.After executing the codes, the output of both codes make a word which is scrambled. The participants should debug the word within the time limit.

Time limit-15 minutes

In this round the pair should search the word description .The participants can use the internet.

Event Description:

We are organizing an IOT hackathon to allow you to push the boundaries of creativity, innovation, reality, and tech to build solutions and concepts that have the potential to make a difference in people’s lives. We are inviting teams of makers, developers, and technologists to collaborate and explore the next-gen technologies of smart homes, smart wearables, smart cities, and connected cars / smart driving experience in an environment that encourages you innovate and build their multiple, overlapping technology layers involved in building a smarter and connected world make it necessary to bring together diverse sets of thinkers, makers, and coders from different fields.

ROUND 1

The participant or team of participants have to explain about their “big idea” on which they are going to work through and their plan of action should also be clearly said.

Round 1 will be conducted on first day (brief explanation of the idea).

ROUND 2

The shortlisted teams have to work on their idea to make a practical exposure to their project and those projects are tested based on the fields of innovation, creativity, social impact and feasibility. The best project will be selected as the winner.

Time limit: 4 hrs

TEAM STRENGTH

Min 2 persons per team.

  • This is a team participation hackathon. You can have at min 2 members in your team.
  • You can either invite your friends to form a team or you can request other teams to add you as a member.
  • There are 5 themes of the hackathon, you must submit a hack that is in one of these themes.
  • You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified
  • The intellectual property of your code belongs only to your team.
  • Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration only. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc.

To move ahead on the board participant, needs to answer a question and roll dice (a program is used to generate random number from 1 to 6). A participant has time limit to play this game. In given time the participant who reaches the highest possible number will be declared as winner. The questions will be about the latest technologies, the coolest gadgets, trending games and applications, and revolutionary personalities right from the legendary companies to the vibrant start-ups of IT industry, upcoming fields happening fields of today and the whole nine yards in the world of computing. The thing is they will be given some QR codes and if they scan then they will get the Subject in which they should answer the Questions.

This event is completely online based event. The surging process of code would invariably track back to finding out the algorithm. So, one must find out the algorithm that is being used. A set of questions will be given and the participant who will complete more number of questions in given time limit will be the ultimate winner. In each question some context will be given regarding real time application. The task is that the participant should identify the algorithm that best suits to implement the application. Code should be written by the participant regarding the algorithm he/she identified. Code should be able to execute over a set of testcases.

CIRCUITRIX

This event has 3 levels. Level 1: The participant will be given a physical connected circuit. The participant has to represent the circuit on the paper. Level 2: The participants who clear the first round will be given a circuit and they need to simulate it on a software like multisim and explain the working of the circuit. Level 3: This is the last round where the participant needs to connect the circuit on the bread board where the circuit diagram is provided. In all the 3 levels the participants are assessed on the basis of time taken and accuracy

MARKET YOUR CIRCUIT:

This event has 2 levels and is a team competition. Level 1: Every team is given an electronic product and is given time to plan a marketing strategy to sell the product to a customer. Here they act as product retailers. Level 2: Every team is given another electronic product. They are supposed to come out with a detailed marketing plan as before but here they are supposed to sell the product to a client. Here they act as the manufacturers. win.

CIRCUIT BUILDER

This event has 3 levels. Level 1: The participant will be blind folded and he/she will be asked to identify the different circuit components by touching them. Level 2: Here a mixture of different resistors will be presented before the participant. Every participant will be provided with a list of resistors required. One needs to identify the resistors by carbon coding and arrange them in ascending order of their values. This round will be assessed on basis time taken. Level 3: A basic building block of an electronic system will be given to every participant. He / She has to write the importance of that circuit, represent its circuit diagram and construct it on the bread board.

This is going to be a non-technical event where the participants are asked to ROLL THE DICE and sum of the result will decide which game they have to play. Even number will be one match game and odd number will be other one.

The participants are asked to pick out the maximum number of pairs in a minute from the tub which got the combination of different pairs (max 80 pairs). The participant who could match the highest number of pairs will be announced as the winner and in case of draw (tie) a special round will be conducted to declare the winner.

The participants are given a deck of cards arranged in a row by column fashion (where image is not shown to player) were they should pick a card once and place it back in the same position and need to pair it up when they come across the same card as they go on playing.
